Hogwarts Legacy: How to Get Depulso Spell

Right from the beginning of the game, players will get to do different assignments for each class’s professor. The Main Quests and Side Quests are separate from the Assignments and the Assignments are also important as the main quests because completing them will unlock new spells and rewards. One of the Assignments that you will get after taking the Potion Class is Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 which can get you a new Spell named “Depulso” which is required for future quests in the game.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get Depulso Spell in Hogwarts Legacy.

Completing Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1

Professor Sharp is a teacher of Potion Class and once you have learned how to Brew potions, you will get the first Assignment from Professor Sharp. Some Assignments are different from the rest of the assignments or quests because they do not show any waypoint on the map. Meaning, your Field Guide will not help you with the Assignment. You will have to do it on your own. Well, Professor Sharp’s Assignment is one of those assignments.

In the Assignment, you will have two tasks to do on your own.

• Acquire and Use a Focus Potion.
• Acquire Maxima and Edurus Potions, and use them simultaneously.

Now, at this point, you will only have the recipe of Edurus Potion or Edurus Potion itself. You will have to get the Focus and Maxima Potion to use them.

Getting Focus Potion & Maxima Potion

If you track the assignment, it will not tell you where to get the potions from but if you have remembered from the early game that you can get potions from a shop in Hogsmeade then you are thinking right. You need to go to J. Pippins Potions Shop in Hogsmeade to get these potions.

Fast travel to Hogsmeade and open the map to see the location of the Potions Shop and make your way to the shop. Once inside talk to the Merchant to browse the shop. Now, you can either buy Recipes for both of these potions or you can buy these potions as a whole. Recipes are expensive and you will also have to gather the ingredients to brew the potions as well so, it is not a very well approach if you are looking only to complete the assignment.

Scroll down to the Combat Tools section to see the Potions. Focus Potion will cost you 500 Galleons and Maxima Potion will cost you 300 Galleons. Buy these potions to move on to the next objective.

Use Potions for Assignment

Now for the first objective, you need to use the Focus Potion. Press the L1/TAB to open the quick inventory and select the Focus Potion. Now, press the L1/TAB Button again to use it. It will complete the first objective of your Assignment.

Now, make sure that you have Edurus Potion otherwise, you will have to make it in the Potion Class. Once you have acquired the Edurus Potion as well, you need to use the Maxima Potion and immediately switch to Edurus Potion to consume that as well. It will complete the second objective as well.

Get Depulso Spell

Now, you will only have to attend the potion Class in the morning time to get your reward from Professor Sharp. Professor Sharp will teach you a new spell named “Depulso” which is used to push items and enemies away.
