Hokko Life: Everything About Fishing

Hokko Life is a farming and simulation game in which you can do a lot of things. One of the main things that you have to do in the game is fishing to catch fish and you’ll also get quests and challenges for catching fish as well in this game.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to fish in Hokko Life.

Fishing Rod

To catch the Fish, you’d need a fishing rod and to get the Fishing Rod you’ll have to talk to an NPC in the Beach area of the town. You’ll start your game near the beach and after getting into the town, if you go back to the Beach, you’d get to meet an NPC and he’ll give you the Fishing Rod. You can get to the Beach by leaving the town and going to the right side and you’ll get to the Beach.

Fishing Bait

To get the Fishing Bait, you need to do a few quests for Timothy and it’ll unlock a recipe named Bucket of Bait which you’d have to buy from Sally’s Workshop. After that, you need to craft the bucket of bait and then put it in your inventory. Before you get to Fishing, you also need to add the bait on your fishing hook. To add the bait, equip the fishing rod and then open the inventory and select the bucket of bait. You’d get the option of adding the bait to the hook. Once you are all set then you can do the fishing at any fishing point.

Fishing

Go to any fishing point in the town and add the bait to your fishing rod before you cast the line in the water. Once you are at the fishing point, you need to press the action button after adding the bait to the fishing rod and it will cast the line in the water. Make sure to cast the line near the fish in the water because if the fish is far from the line, it will not be attracted to the bait and then you have to cancel the line and you’ll also lose 1 bait.

Cast the line near the fish and wait for the fish to bite on the hook. You need to wait for a bit and then you have to press the action button again when it pops up on the screen. Don’t press any other button until the button appears on the screen otherwise the action will be canceled and you’ll have to cast the line again. Once you’ve pressed the action button after it appears, you’ll have to gently press the action button to fill the bar showing on the screen. The fish will try to escape by going far left or far right when it goes to the right, you need to go to the left by pressing the movement keys or moving the joystick to the left. If it goes to the left, you need to go to the right by pressing the movement keys or moving the joystick to the right.

Once the fish is back in the middle, start pressing the action button to fill the bar. When the bar is fully filled, you’ll catch the fish and if you didn’t handle the fish by moving and pressing the action button, the fish will set free from the hook and you’ll have to start all over again.
