Update 2.0 of Genshin Impact has introduced numerous shrines and hidden locations for players. Since the title of miHoYois wildly popular on PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile, we are sure you will want to be aware of it.

However, some hidden areas of the Inazuma region (one of the new features of version 2.0) require certain requirements. One of them is the challenge of Sakura’s cleaning ritual, which among other things allows you to access a boss and get a new ability.

But, of course, to complete Sakura’s ritual you must first complete a series of steps. More specifically, perform other rituals and accept a secondary mission, which we will talk about in this guide.

How to complete Sakura’s cleansing ritual in Genshin Impact

The first thing we must do is accept the secondary mission “A strange story in Konda”, which will be offered to us by an NPC named Kazari. You can find it on the island of Narukami, in the largest part, next to some stairs.

To complete this little mission, you have to talk to Kazari and follow the following order: a bag of coins, a bag of cargo, and bills . Then you will have to go down a well and use Electro granum’s ability to pass through the electrical barrier.

Next, you will have to purify the sanctuary and solve the puzzle of this ritual (it is only the initial one). Once you succeed, you will have to defeat a ghost to complete the mission … and here the real mission begins.

This is just the first step in starting Sakura’s cleansing ritual in Genshin Impact. It is a long and not easy process, so make sure you are at a good level and bring all the items you need.

Sacrificial offering

Next, you must go to the abandoned sanctuary near the Villa Konda, which you can differentiate with purple color on the map. This step is called the Sacrificial Offering, and is made up of the following steps:

• Chase the three ghosts until they are all standing behind the three fox statues facing each other. The ghosts will disappear and leave a book about Sakura’s cleaning ritual.
• Get the Memento Lens at Narukami Grand Shrine
• Enter the Kitsune Statues Room to activate Hidden Memories, using the aforementioned lens.
• Go to the barrier. Enter the cave that is in the abandoned sanctuary: the entrance is further down, to the south.
• After going through another electrical barrier, climb the stone wall, go through the door, and pick up the rust-worn key.
• Use it to unlock the door in the Chinju forest – it’s to the northwest, at the beginning of the stream in the purple area.
• You must solve another riddle of Sakura’s cleaning ritual. The solution is: 2 on the center pillar, then 3-3-3 on the end pillars.

Chinju Forest

• Talk to the giant stone bear in the northernmost part of the Chinju Forest
• You will be asked to find the three Tanuki . Light the torches if they appear. A Tanuki is near the Hilichurls.
• Go to the indicated location; the stone will have disappeared.
• This puzzle is a bit more complex; to complete it look at the image to see the pattern. The two furthest pillars must have 2, the left one 3 and the right 4 .

Araumi

• Light up all the Electro Pillars surrounding the Great Sakura Tree and the Stone Ruins.
• Enter the stone tower ruin and use the Memento lens on the Kitsune statues.
• Use it on another Kitsune below to get an Electrogranum and pass through the Electro Barrier.
• Use Electro on the fox statue and enter the final room.
• The solution of this puzzle of the Sakura Cleaning Ritual in Araumi is the following: place the ones on its sides (left and right) on 3 Sakura sheets . The two remaining behind the shrine must have the number 2. They are hidden behind the Kitsune statues; use the Memento lens again.

Kamisato estate

• Head to the beach, located east of the Kamisato Estate. You will see a rock with a tree, a statue of a fox and a statue of Kitsune.
• Use the Memento lens on the Kitsune and go to the next step.
• The Sakura Cleansing Ritual solution is as follows: 2 Sakura leaves on the pillar in front and behind you (the ones near the path), and 3 on the ones to the left and right . Kill the two ghosts and you will have finished the mission.
