How to Level Up Fast in Ark: Survival Ascended

Ark: Survival Ascended - level up fast

Leveling up in Ark: Survival Ascended is crucial to increase your character’s overall stats and unlock new crafting items that will help you progress on The Island. From the moment you select a spawning zone to start your adventure, your priority should get starting levels to craft all necessary tools, clothes, an outpost, and enhance necessary stats.

In this guide, we’ll go over how to level up fast in Ark: Survival Ascended.

How to Level Up Fast in Ark: Survival Ascended

Your character can level up from doing anything in Ark: Survival Ascended as each action you perform gives a certain amount of XP. Reaching the threshold for each level will grant you a point that can be spent on your character’s stats. Each point you spend on your character’s stats will level up your character by 1. Performing actions like foraging, mining, cutting, hunting, discovering new areas, taming dinos, crafting, building outposts, etc. all give a certain amount of XP which you will be doing throughout the whole game.

However, it can take some time before you earn a point to level up the characters by performing these actions. The fastest way to level up your character is by discovering the Explorer Notes. If you are familiar with Ark: Survival Evolved then you might have an idea about the Explorer Notes but if you are new to the series, then you should prioritize finding the Explorer Notes spread across The Island to earn 100 XP (base XP of Explorer Note without any XP multiplier) from each Explorer Note. Explorer Notes also gives the 2x or 4x boost XP Buff that can be stacked up to a total of 8x XP boost allowing you to gain XP at a higher rate.

Each boost XP buff stays activated for a few minutes and in that meantime, any action you perform or find other Explorer Notes, you will get multiplied XP according to the stacked buff. Finding all of the Explorer Notes on The Island will also grant you an additional 10 Levels.

Gaining XP is also dependent on the XP Multiplier rate of the server you are playing on. If you are playing solo and hosting a world of your own, you can change the settings to your liking to get XP at an even faster rate.
