How to Solve Red Pillars Light Puzzle in Tears of the Kingdom

As players progress through the main questline of the game and make their way to the Gerudo Town. They will meet Riju in nearby ruins after they have entered the Shelter in Gerudo Town. Once you have met Riju, a new questline will start named “Riju of Gerudo Town”. It is a long quest so you will have to complete the starting objectives of the quest which will require you to take out enemies named “Gibdo”. Once you have done that, you will get to solve the first puzzle of the quest and that is Reunite the Red Pillars by solving the light puzzle in the middle of the dessert.

In order to start the puzzle, Riju will invite you to meet her in the Shelter. When you go into the shelter, she will show you the markings of the Red Pillars in the Shelter. She will give you the hint of finding the Red Pillars out in the Dessert. Once you have talked to her, you need to go to the Throne Room which is directly above the Shelter.

You need to stand behind the Throne and look towards the dessert. You will see Three Pillars in front. That is the first Red Pillar and the starting point of the Red Pillars Light Puzzle. You can reach there by using the Ascend Ability all the way to the top. You will reach a shrine named “Soryotanog Shrine”. Now, jump off from the top and use the Glider to reach the first Red Pillar.

How to Solve Red Pillars Light Puzzle in Tears of the Kingdom

You will have to Reunite Three Red Pillars with the Light to solve the puzzle. In order to start the puzzle, you need to get to the very first Red Pillar. Once you get up on the pillar, you will see a cracked floor. You need to use a Melee Weapon to Smash the Cracked Floor and the Light will come out. Now, you need to follow the light into the Dessert. There will be a Sand Storm throughout all the way so, you need to use the Sand Air Tornado to lift you up to see where the light is going.

Keep going ahead by following the light and as you reach the large Pillar Stand, you need to look to the right and there will be another part of the pillar. There will be a number of Gibdo enemies under the pillar. Dodge the enemies and climb up the pillar to find a rotational handle. You need to rotate the handle in the Right Direction. Keep rotating it until the light changes in another direction.

Now, you need to follow the light again to the Third and Final Red Pillar. As you get close to the Pillar, you will see a tornado that you need to use to get up on the pillar. There will be a cracked floor on the pillar that you need to break. As you break it, there will be two platforms and four handlebars. You need to pull out all of the things by using the Ultrahand Ability.

Now, attach the handlebars on the platforms and then hit the platforms to activate them. After that, you need to put them in the air. They will not fall until they are on. Now, you need to go to the tornado again to reach the higher ledge of the pillar. Now, Use the Ultrahand Ability to pull the platforms on the ledge. The Platforms will consume your battery so, you will have to hurry. Once you have pulled them up, you need to activate the platforms again and place them in a way that you reach the top of the pillar.

After placing the platforms, you need to climb up the platforms to reach the top of the pillar and bring up one platform so, you can unstick the wooden bars from it. Now, attach any one wooden bar on the side of the rotational handle and push the handle in the Right Direction. Keep rotating it until the Light reaches back to the First Red Pillar and it will appear a strange structure in the middle of the Red Pillar.

Now, all you have to do is to get to the appeared structure in the Dessert and it will complete the Red Pillars Light Puzzle.
