Jagged Alliance 3 – Bastien All Choices

While progressing through the main story of the game and taking down the Legion, players will meet various NPCs in different areas that they liberate from the enemies. Some of the NPCs give side quests that can reward players with more resources or exquisite items but there are also NPCs in the Legion that players can interact with. Although the Legion is the main enemy in the game, when players meet those NPCs, the game would offer some choices. These choices are not ordinary as they have respective outcomes so, choosing the best possible choice can matter a lot for players. One of the earliest Legion characters that players will get to meet is Bastien. He is a leader of a Small paramilitary group who works for Legion.

Bastien All Choices in Jagged Alliance 3

Players will get to meet Bastien two times in the game but the second meet will be dependent on whether players killed him the first time they met him.

Bastien All Choices in 1^st Meeting

The very first time that players can meet Bastien is in Sector I1. It is also where players start their first mission of the game but Bastien would not be there during the first mission. Once players have moved ahead on the Island, Bastien will come to Sector I1 and if players go back to I1, they will get to meet him. These are all the choices that players can make during the first meeting with Bastien.

• Kill Him: Killing Bastien will give 150 XP and 10 Loyalty with Ernie. It also decreases the defense of Fort.
• Spare Him: Letting him go will let players meet him again in the game and get to know more information about Legion.
• Demand Something from Him: Choosing this option will require a Merc with high Wisdom and Bastien will give 3 Diamonds. If players choose a Merc with low Wisdom, the sweet talk will get failed which will end up earning nothing.

Bastien All Choices in 2^nd Meeting

After sparing Bastien during the first meet will move Bastien to Sector H3 where players can meet him for the second and last time. After liberating the Ernie Village, players can enter the H3 and interact with Bastien who would threaten the players upon meeting and leave players with the following choices.

• Trick Him: To trick Bastien, players must have hired Fox and select the “What Hospitality” option. Fox will trick the soldiers into believing that Bastien steals from them.
• Pay Bastien: Bastien will ask for $1,000 and choosing this option will lose you money and gain 150 XP.
• Threaten Bastien: Threatening Bastien for the second time will earn you weapons, diamonds, money, and XP. Players must have a Merc with high Wisdom to successfully threaten Bastien.
• Kill Him: Killing Bastien in the second meeting will give 150 XP and 15 Loyalty with Ernie.

If players let Bastien live again, he can be useful in smuggling the goods into the Refugee Camp later in the game. Make sure to make the choices with care and select the ones you think are most beneficial for you.
