Jagged Alliance 3 – How to Hire Flay

Flay is a Marksman and one of the free Mercs that players can choose to hire in Jagged Alliance 3. There are multiple Mercs that can be hired for free during the gameplay but all of them will have a certain requirement and Flay is no exception. How to Hire Flay in Jagged Alliance 3

To hire Flay in your squad, there are two requirements that you need to fulfill. One is that you need to start a quest which is given by the leader of the Poacher Camp “Hyena” and the second is that you need a Merc with 90+ Attribute Points in Wisdom Stat who will work as a Negotiator to hire Flay. Now, before you talk with Flay, you will have to find him. Go to Sector C4 and clear out the Legion enemies from the area to unlock Hyena. Talk to Hyena and he will tell you about a Sharpshooter named “Larry Flay” who has been killing the poachers. You will be given the task of eliminating Larry Flay upon finding him.

Now, to find Flay, you need to find the clues to his location by following the dead poacher’s bodies. There are three different poacher bodies that players need to find and follow. Eventually, the trail of bodies will lead to Sector B4 where you will confront Larry Flay. Talk to Flay and select the following dialogues at the start to initiate the hiring.

• Do you kill those Poachers?
• You Have to Stop

It should give you the Wisdom Check Successful message on having a Merc with high Wisdom trait. Now, select the “Want to hunt for us?” dialogue to complete the recruitment process and Flay would be hired in your squad. There will not be any travel for Flay to come to your location as he will be standing next to you and will add to the squad without any fee.
