Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD is a strategy video game consisting of several Heroes and Towers that you unlock as you progress through the main campaign levels. However, as you pursue the levels, the difficulty of the enemies will increase which will require you to unlock the upgrades to tackle the difficult enemies more efficiently and deal more damage.

How to Unlock New Upgrades in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD

The upgrades are the enhancements for your powers, towers, and heroes in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD that are unlocked by purchasing them with Upgrade Points. Upgrade Point is one of the currencies in the game that is obtained by completing every campaign level. Upon clearing the tutorial and the first campaign level, you will be rewarded with a new Hero (Raelyn) and 3 Upgrade Points.

Once you are in the overview of the map after completing a campaign level, select the ‘Upgrades’ option at the bottom of the screen to open the Upgrades Menu. Here, you will see four different upgrade trees, starting from bottom to top. Each upgrade tree holds several upgrades for the respective upgrade type.

Hovering over an upgrade will show you its description and selecting it will unlock it. The required Upgrade Points are mentioned below for each unlockable upgrade at the moment. However, you must unlock the upgrades strategically to tackle the enemies in the next level. After unlocking your new upgrades, select the ‘Done’ option to confirm the purchases.

How to Reset the Upgrades in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD

If you have accidentally purchased an upgrade that you didn’t wish to, you can reset all the upgrades and get back all the spent Upgrade Points by pressing the ‘Reset’ option beside the ‘Done’ option in the Upgrades Menu. It is an essential feature of the game and will allow you to plan strategically against difficult fights, especially the colossal boss fights.
