Mortal Kombat 1 Teases an Unknown Character in the Keepers of Time Trailer

Mortal Kombat reveals more characters in the Keepers of Time Trailer, featuring Geras, Guardian of the Hourglass. Geras made his first debut in Mortal Kombat 11, and he returns in Mortal Kombat 1 with new Sand and Time abilities. The move set showcase of Geras is looking very promising, especially the freezing time abilities, as they can be devastating for opponents.

As Mortal Kombat 1 is a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11, Geras comes back to Lord Liu Kang and questions his attitude after the Thunder Fire God. The events of Mortal Kombat 11 are clearly referenced in the dialogues between the two, and the trailer shows much more than talking. The Fatality of Geras and Liu Kang has been showcased in the trailer, which is becoming the best one so far for the fans, especially Liu Kang’s Black Hole Fatality.

But there is another catch in the trailer that some viewers might have missed. However, those who follow Ed Boon, Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat 1, might know that an unknown mysterious character was shown in the trailer, and nobody has any idea who that can be. Ed Boon also tweeted with the caption, “New Phone. Who dis?” with a photo highlighting the character’s face.

The personality of the character does not match any Mortal Kombat character, and fans are already making assumptions that this is a Create-a-Character feature in the game. It might be a custom character that players will be able to create in the game, but it has not been confirmed.
