Mortal Kombat 1: How to Get Nether Stone

Nether Stone is one of the Key Items in Mortal Kombat that is used in the Invasion mode of Mortal Kombat 1. Invasion mode allows you to explore 8 different realms filled with various activities in which you can partake to earn XP to increase the Mastery Rank of your selected character. However, there are certain areas that are blocked with fiery gates/walls for which players will have to get Nether Stone to explore past them.

How to Get the Nether Stone in Mortal Kombat 1

To get the Nether Stone in the Invasion mode of Mortal Kombat 1, you will have to defeat the Hellfire Scorpion boss at the Fire Temple location. The Fire Temple is the last realm in the Invasion mode to which you will have to make your way to by completing all of the other realms so basically, you will be completing the whole invasion mode in general to get the Nether Stone.

Once you have made your way to the Fire Temple, you need to progress through the nodes until you reach “The Spectre” node. Enter the Spectre node and defeat the Hellfire Scorpion to gain the Nether Stone. After getting the Nether Stone, you will be able to pass through the Nethergates (Fiery Gates) in almost every realm.

There are 5 – 6 realms that have Nethergates in them and with the Nether Stone in your character’s inventory, you will get the option to open the Nethergate by standing on the Nethergate node. So, go past the Nethergates to explore and get more palettes and unique rewards for your characters.
