Nvidia: Ray tracing in Cyberpunk 2077 will work on any GPU with DXR support

At the end of October, several media outlets spread the news that ray tracing in Cyberpunk 2077 will only work on Nvidia video cards. However, in a conversation with Wccftech, the company explained that this is not the case.
Cyberpunk 2077 uses the standard DirectX Ray Tracing API. Tracing will work on any GPU with DXR support. There is nothing in the trace from the game that was developed in Nvidia itself.

Thus, ray tracing should work without problems on AMD RX 6000 cards, presented at the end of October. They will go on sale in November and December with support for all DirectX 12 Ultimate technologies.
Cyberpunk 2077 only works on DirectX 12 Ultimate — previously, CD Projekt RED explained that it chose this API for two reasons: it is a standard API for Xbox consoles, and ray tracing started with it.
This also means that the trace may appear on the PS5 with the Xbox Series, the only question is optimization. On PC, the game supports four ray tracing effects at once, but how many will reach consoles is still unclear.
Update for Cyberpunk 2077 under next-gen will be released on the PS5 and Xbox Series only in 2021, but on new-generation consoles, as they said in CD Projekt RED, the game will still look better from the release.
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 after the transfer is scheduled for December 10.
