Palia: How to Get Crab Shell

Palia’s new update, Sunkissed Summer: Amberlight Affair, is now live, allowing players to enjoy the perfect sunny weather at the beaches. Nai’o has set up a new beach store on the outskirts of Kilima Valley, offering various beach-themed decorative items. Acquiring these new decorative items requires special currencies. One of the new currencies, exclusive to the shop, is Crab Shell. In this guide, we will explain how to get Crab Shell in Palia.

How to Get Crab Shell in Palia

Crab Shell is a new material that acts as a currency in Palia, exclusive to Nai’o’s Beach Luau Store. It is an epic rarity material and rare to come by. The primary method to get Crab Shell is to participate in the Crab Wars dynamic event. The Crab Wars event takes place only in Royal Highlands once per day at 7 AM (in-game) time. It specifically takes place on Enfield Shores, spawning the crabs and frogs across the beach for players to catch. Players have to catch Crabs or Frogs for 4 minutes; the team with the highest number wins. As the event ends, the Spoils of War Chest will appear, dropping a guaranteed 1x Crab Shell.

Now, getting 1 Crab Shell per Crab Wars event game is slow and time-dependent. You have to wait for the event to go live and participate in it to get 1 Crab Shell. For instance, if you are in need of 10 Crab Shells, it will take you 10 hours+ to get them.

The secondary method to get Crab Shells is by catching Crabs along the beach areas. It is an RNG method, as the crabs have a very slight chance of dropping 1 Crab Shell. I managed to get 3 Crab Shells by catching the common Blue Crabs in the vicinity of Honey Lure on Enfield Shores in Royal Highlands. Place the Honey Lure on the beach and start catching the Blue Crabs. You will surely get a few Crab Shells. For now, I do not know whether other Crabs have a chance of dropping these Crab Shells, but catching Blue Crabs inside the Honey Lure zone does the job.

How to Use Crab Shell in Palia

Crab Shell is a currency for Nai’o’s Beach Store. This new beach store is located in the Gillyfin Cove in Kilima Valley. There is a blue balloon decoration on the entrance to the beach.
