One of the biggest highlight of this update is Nai’o’s new shop, offering beach-themed decorative items. Players can visit the new beach store on the outskirts of Kilima Valley to purchase the items. However, the new items require exclusive new currencies. One of the new currencies for the shop is Iridescent Scales. In this guide, we will explain how to get Iridescent Scales in Palia.

How to Get Iridescent Scales in Palia

The Iridescent Scales are a new time-limited currency exclusive to Nai’o’s Beach Luau Store. To find the Iridescent Scales in Palia, you must fish in the Saltwater (bay areas). Right now, I am not certain whether all saltwater areas across all the zones work or not, but I found over 30 Iridescent Scales by fishing at the bank of Enfield Shores area (Royal Highlands). You do not need any bait to get the Iridescent Scales as the fish you catch will have a chance of dropping them. Although it is not guaranteed on every catch, I found 2x Iridescent Scales on every catch in the Chum Bucket zone.

If you are looking to farm Iridescent Scales quickly, it is best to craft and place down a Chum Bucket. It will turn all fish to Star-Quality and increase your chance of getting Iridescent Scales with every catch. If you do not have the Chum Bucket recipe, you can get it from the Amber Echo Store at the Central Stables in Royal Highlands. However, if the shop is unavailable to you, communicate with other players or visit the beach to see if anyone has an active Chum Bucket.

How to Use Iridescent Scales in Palia

Iridescent Scales are a currency for Nai’o’s Beach Store. This new beach store is located in the Gillyfin Cove in Kilima Valley. There is a blue balloon decoration on the entrance to the beach.
