Palia: How to Get Heartwood
Palia’s world brims with diverse resources that players must gather to create useful items. As players advance in the game, crafting certain recipes will necessitate the use of Heartwood—a rarer and stronger type of wood compared to Sapwood.
Curious about acquiring Heartwood? You’re in the right place. We’ll guide you on getting Heartwood in Palia.
How to Get Heartwood in Palia
To get Heartwood, you’ll need to upgrade your Makeshift Axe to the Standard Axe, as the Makeshift Axe is incapable of felling the trees that yield Heartwood. Once you’ve acquired the Standard Axe, head to Bahari Bay. Bahari Bay constitutes the second zone on the world map, accessible as you progress through the main storyline. Travel to the eastern side of the initial map zone to reach Bahari Bay.
Upon reaching Bahari Bay, you can acquire Heartwood by felling Green Pine Trees. Exclusive to Green Pine Trees, Heartwood drops from them. Should you cut down a Pine Tree with Yellow/Orange leaves, it will yield sapwood instead. While Green Pine Trees are scattered throughout Bahari Bay, the majority can be found in the northern regions of the area. If you’re interested in efficiently farming Heartwood, consider focusing on the northern zones.
Bahari Bay also features larger Pine Trees. However, feeling these requires a more advanced version of the Axe. If you possess a Fine Axe or an Exquisite Axe, take advantage of them to cut down the larger Pine Trees, as they can yield over 20 Heartwood in a single drop.”
