Palia: Where to Find & Catch Oily Anchovy

There are various fish types in Palia that players can catch while doing the Fishing Guild. Catching common and rare fish is the crucial step of leveling up the Fishing Guild to unlock advanced versions of the Fishing Rod as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Fishing Guild Store. One of the common fish that players can get and required for a Friendship Quest is Oily Anchovy.

This guide will walk you through where to find and catch Oily Anchovy in Palia.

Where to Find Oily Anchovy in Palia

Oily Anchovy can be found in Bahari Rivers at any time of the day. There are several spots in Bahari Bay to fish in the Bahari Rivers, but one of the best fishing spots to find Oily Anchovy is the waterfall beside Thorny Thicket located on the northern side of Bahari Bay.

How to Catch Oily Anchovy in Palia

Upon reaching the fishing location of Bahari Bay, you need to start catching fish in the deep area of the lake while equipping a Worm as bait.

NOTE: Worm bait is mandatory for catching Oily Anchovy. Make sure to equip Worm Bait on the fishing rod before casting the line into the river.

Cast the line as far as you can with your fishing rod and wait for the bobber to shake three times. As the bobber starts to move after the third shake, reel in the fish by holding the Left-Click Button and moving the mouse to keep the fish inside the brackets to catch the fish.

It can take a few tries or even more than ten tries to catch a Oily Anchovy because there are other fish in the pond who will strike first at the bait so, be patient to catch the Oily Anchovy.

Uses of Oily Anchovy in Palia

Oily Anchovy can be sold for 50 Gold (Base) or 75 Gold (Star Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, it is also used for completing the Everybody Wins quest for Nai’o. Lastly, several villagers like Oily Anchovy as a gift as well.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
