Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur – How to Do Farming
Building Kingsmarch in Settlers of Kalguur expansion of Path of Exile takes a lot of time and certainly effort of many hardworking workers. These workers will pursue various guild factions with your help including Farming, mining, disenchanting, smelting, and shipping.
However, one of the earlier guild factions you should consider prioritizing is Farming as it will help you grow various food items essential for upgrading certain establishments and shipping them off for a generous profit.
This guide will help you begin the Farming Guild in Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur.
How to Begin Farming in Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur
The first step in beginning a Farming process is establishing a Farming guild. To establish the Farming guild, go to the Kingsmarch and upgrade the Town Recruitment rank to 2. It will highlight the Farming icon on the map, meaning you can now unlock it.
Once done, open the map and make your way to the shovel icon location. Here you will get to unlock the Farming Guild for 45 Gold. The first rank of Farming will allow your hired workers to grow Wheat and Corn in the available Farming Plots. Initially, you will be granted 2 Farming Plots which you can interact with and select the type of resource (crop) you wish to produce.
As you further upgrade the rank of Farming establishment, more farming plots will unlock along with newer resource capabilities. Set the resource (crop) on the newly unlocked farming plots to let your hired workers take care of them.

NOTE: Farmers work a bit differently than miners and smelters. Miners and smelters will automatically move down/up to the available job within the establishment once their task is done. Whereas, farmers will stick to the job you assigned and keep on producing the same type of crop.
At first, the farmers will not concern you much but they can become a bit problem if you are low on Treasury. The treasury will keep paying the farmers every hour and they will keep producing making the treasury run dry overnight.
TIP: It is best to remove the farmers once you have fulfilled the requests for the crops or harvested enough crops for upgrades and shipping.
