Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur – How to Do Mining

Building Kingsmarch in Settlers of Kalguur expansion of Path of Exile takes a lot of time and certainly effort of many hardworking workers. These workers will pursue various guild factions with your help including mining, smelting, disenchanting, farming, and shipping. However, the first guild faction you should consider prioritizing is mining as it will help you gain various ores that are essential for both building and improving Kingsmarch.

This guide will help you begin the mining guild in Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur.

How to Begin Mining in Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur

The very first step to begin mining is to establish the mining guild. While you are in Kingsmarch, open the map and make your way to the pickaxe icon location. Here you will get to unlock the mining guild for 10 Gold. The first rank of mining will allow your hired miners to mine the Crimson Iron Ore. However, before you order your miners, you will first have to mark the ore deposits.

How to Mark the Ore Deposits for Mining in POE: Settlers of Kalguur

Every ore deposit in Wraeclast is corrupted and spawns dangerous creatures when approached. To mark the ore deposits for your miners to safely mine the ores, you must complete the encounter for the ore deposit. Interact with the found ore deposit and then eliminate the spawn enemies nearby. It will mark the ore deposit for your miners.

NOTE: There are five different types of ores and mining each ore type will first require you to find and mark them.

How to Add Miners to Start Mining in POE: Settlers of Kalguur

Now, for the final step, you need to recruit workers with mining skills (miners) of any level from Raulf, the Recruiter. Interact with Raulf and select the Town Recruitment option to view the available workers. Hire the miners from him and make sure that you have added some gold into the Treasury to pay workers’ wages.

Once done, open the map and select the mining establishment. After that, select the ore type you wish to mine and then assign the available workers. If you have marked the ore deposit for the corresponding ore, your worker will start mining the ores straightaway. You will also be able to see the number of ores being mined at a per-hour rate.

However, keep in mind that for higher-rarity ores, you will have to first upgrade the rank of the Mining Establishment. Below, you will find the complete table for the Mining guild with every improvement provided on each rank.

Fulfilling the costs for higher rank of mining will require you to seek out other establishments including farming and smelting to gather crops and turn ores into bars.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
