Pokémon Presents: The August 18th event will be the longest ever

Tomorrow, August 18, 2021, the new Pokémon Presents will be broadcast, a live broadcast dedicated to the latest videogame news from the Pokémon world. There will certainly be room for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as Pokémon Legends: Arceus. We know that it will air at 15:00, and will last approximately 28 minutes. Is it short? Actually no, as it is the longest event ever.

In fact, you should know that the past Pokémon Presents have always been much shorter. Here are the details:

  • June 17, 2020 – 11 minutes
  • June 24, 2020 – 11 minutes
  • February 26, 2021 – 20 minutes

To this list, we can also add the “previous version” of Pokémon Presents or the ” Pokémon Direct “. Again, no one has reached 28 minutes:

  • January 8, 2013 – 11 minutes
  • September 4, 2013 – 19 minutes
  • February 26, 2016 – 6 minutes
  • June 6, 2017 – 8 minutes
  • February 27, 2019 – 7 minutes
  • June 5, 2019 – 17 minutes
  • January 9, 2020 – 21 minutes

As for tomorrow’s Pokémon Presents, The Pokémon Company promises “exciting new information” about the games mentioned “and more”. For now, we do not know what it refers to, although it is possible that one of the games to which space will be dedicated will be Pokémon Unite. Such a high playing time is certainly a positive indicator of the health of the games involved: we hope that the time will be divided equally for all the expected titles.

Finally, we report that Dialga and Palkia will have new forms in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
