In this guide, we’ll tell you how to catch a fish in Rune Factory 3 Special.

How to Catch a Fish in Rune Factory 3 Special

There are various kinds of fishing that players can catch from different fishing spots in the town. Fish are of different rarity as well and higher rarity fish can provide more bonuses to the players. However, catching rare fish is more difficult than catching a normal fish. To simplify the steps of catching the fish, you can follow the following steps.

  • Press the L Button to open your inventory and equip the Fishing Pole by pressing the B Bitton.
  • With the fishing pole equipped, you need to press the B Button while facing toward the water and the shadow of the fish in the water to cast the line.
  • Wait for the fish to bite and as it makes a splash sound, you will get the queue to reel in the fish. When you get the queue, press the B Button to reel in the fish.

If you get too late to reel in the fish, the fish will get away and you will have to retry the whole process. The common fish have a slightly longer queue than rare fish. If a rare fish bites at the Bobber, you will have to be quick on the queue to reel in the fish before it gets away.

In the early stages, you will mostly catch common fish with the Cheap Pole but as you level up in the Foraging Skill, you will get to unlock the better fishing poles which will help you catch rarer fish.
