Rune Factory 3 Special: How to Get the Fishing Pole

For every activity in Rune Factory 3 Special, players will need a specific tool for the respective activity. In the case of Fishing activity, players will require a Fishing Pole of any kind. As fishing can be done fairly early in the game, the first fishing pole that players can get is Cheap Pole to get started with fishing.

How to Get the Fishing Pole in Rune Factory 3 Special

To get the fishing pole early in the game, players will have to get the Cheap Pole. The Cheap Pole is the first kind of fishing pole in Rune Factory 3 Special and it does not have any Foraging Level requirement. There are various ways through which players can get their hands on Cheap Pole in Rune Factory 3 Special.

• Complete the “I’m Looking for Something” Request for Barret to get Cheap Pole as a reward.
• Complete the “Fishing Lessons from the Master” Request for Carmen to get a Cheap Pole as a reward.
• Buy the Cheap Pole from the Blacksmith’s Store.
• Forge the Cheap Pole by yourself after reaching the Foraging Level 5.

From all of the four methods to get Cheap Pole, the first two methods are the most efficient. The Barret request is the simplest as it will only require you to find Barret’s book which can be found at the Town’s Church. Simply, go to the church to get Barret’s Book and return the book to Barret to get the Cheap Pole. The second method is also efficient because it gives you fishing lessons for catching fish along with giving you a Cheap Pole for free.

The request for Barret can be started by talking to Barret for the first time and the request for Carmen can be accepted from the Town’s Bulletin Board. Complete any of the following requests you find easy and get yourself a fishing pole to start catching fish.
