Sony estimates that the stock of PS5 will be 3 million consoles per month until April

Major UK shops will receive a new stock of PS5 this week, and there will be 3 million consoles to replenish stock until April.
PS5 has had a very successful launch worldwide, overtaking PS4 as the best selling console in its PlayStation brand debut and garnering between 2.1 and 2.5 million units sold in its first week. However, demand is so huge that there is an alarming lack of stock in shops.
Yesterday we told you that PS5 will have more units in UK shops like Argos during this week, and that from there more consoles will be distributed to other countries like Spain, Italy, etc. Well, there is good news: there will be new stock of PS5 until April.
This was reported by the PS5 UK Stock Twitter account, which posts news about PlayStation 5 replenishment in UK shops. It seems that, according to official estimates, Sony will distribute 2.4 and 3.7 million PS5 consoles per month worldwide, starting this week, until next April.
This new stock of PS5 will be divided into shipments for each month and it must be remembered that a good part will go to old reserves while the rest will be distributed to the shops by sea and that is where the delay in this new stock comes from.
It is expected that PS5 will have new stock in the UK between tomorrow, 13th January, and next 16th so we could have new units in Spain for next week. However, the distribution process will not be immediate so it may be delayed until the end of the month or the beginning of February.
On the other hand, this source also points out that Sony is preparing 3 draws of PS5 for the next two and a half months, the bases of which have not yet been revealed. This stock of 3 million units has a range of approximately 2.4 to 3.7 million so it is not an exact figure as such.
This is undoubtedly good news and confirms that PlayStation 5 will have new units in shops in Europe in the coming weeks, as they will be arriving from the United Kingdom in the next few days. Stay tuned for more news on the new Sony console.
