Starfield: How to Clear Your Bounty

With the Starfield massive world, you can take any route you see fit. You can be a saint and help people with their problems or you can be a rogue character that likes to roll like a gangster and commit crimes. Whatever the case, if you get reported for any crime that you committed, there will be a bounty placed on your head which will depend on the crimes you committed. If you don’t want to get stopped by the galaxy’s authority and thrown in jail then you should clear your name from the bounty on your head.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to clear your bounty in Starfield.

How to Clear Your Bounty in Starfield

There are three different ways that you can clear your name from the bounty on your head in Starfield.

• Pay the Bounty fee.
• Bribe with the Galaxy’s Authority.
• Spent Time in Jail.

The original and general way to clear your name from the bounty is by paying the bounty but the question is where to pay your bounty? There are several Kiosks called Self-Service Bounty Clearance located at various locations throughout the Starfield world. You can find these Trackers Alliance Kiosks at Space Stations, Outposts, Marketplaces, and Bars. One of the earliest Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosks that you can find is in Cydonia on Mars. As you enter Cydonia, it will be on the left side beside the Mission Board Kiosk.  

Interact with the Kiosk and pay your bounty to clear your name. Keep in mind that the bounty fee will be according to the crimes that you have committed. If the crimes are more serious, you can find yourself paying over 100,000 Credits to clear your name but if the crimes are minor like stealing then the fee will be minimal.

Alternatively, you can also bribe with the Galaxy’s Authorities to clear your name. As you venture through the space of Starfield, you might get an unexpected visit from the Galaxy’s Authority who will tell you to surrender and go to Jail to spend your time. However, you can also choose to bribe the authorities and pay them a couple thousand credits to clear your name. If you get caught by the authorities then you will end up in jail where you will have to spend some time to clear your name.
