Starfield: How to Earn Credits Fast

Credit is the main currency in Starfield World that comes in handy throughout your gameplay. Having a lot of Credits will help you in the game in general as well as make certain scenarios easier for you to pass over. To get new gear, weapons, and ships, you need to have credits in Starfield.

In this guide, we’ll be telling you how to earn credits fast in Starfield.

How to Earn Credits Fast in Starfield

Several ways will help you earn Credits at a greater rate than a normal rate in Starfield, but the best way to earn credits fast is by combining all of the methods. If you do all of the methods one by one rather than one method once in your playtime, it will make a huge difference. We will go through all of the best methods to earn credits one by one so that you can understand how to earn credits faster.

1. Complete Main and Side Missions

You will earn the highest credits by completing the main and side missions in Starfield. Start by completing the main missions and as you venture to new planets, talk to the NPCs and other factions in the area to join them. As you join them and start completing missions for them along with main story missions, you will be making a lot of money while making progress in the game.

As there are several missions that you can take on at a time, make sure to track and complete the main and side missions one by one so you don’t get confused by the objective points on the screen and map.

2. Unlock the Commerce Skill

One of the best methods to earn a lot of credits is by selling all the items and valuables that you looted but you can increase the selling price of your precious loot by having the Commerce Skill. Commerce is a Social Skill in Starfield that will allow you to make purchases of items at a low rate and sell items at a higher rate allowing you to earn credits more quickly. At Rank 1, you will be buying items for a 5% lower price and selling items for a 10% higher price and as you upgrade the rank of Commerce Skill to Rank 4, you will get to buy items for a 20% less price and sell items for a 25% higher price.

This skill will allow you to save and make a lot of credits in less time depending on how many things you loot and how often you go raiding on different planets. Make sure to loot every enemy’s body and valuables you find around the area to sell them at a higher rate to make money.

3. Pick Lock the Safes and Chests

Throughout your adventure, you will come to find locked safes, vaults, and chests. Unlocking the locked safes and chests will get you high-value items. Make sure that you bring along a bunch of Digipicks on your adventure to unlock any locked safes and chests that you find.

4. Sell Stolen Items and Contraband

You will get to find several illegal items in your playthrough while completing main and side missions and one of the illegal items is Contraband. The civilized colonies do not allow Contraband to be smuggled onto the planets but you can smuggle and sell Contraband if you are being careful and earn a huge amount of money. Similarly, if you steal items from someone’s property or pickpocket an item from a civilian, you can sell them to vendors for great prices and if you have Commerce Skill, you’ll be making loads of money.

5. Complete Bounty Missions

Last but not least, another way to earn credits right off the bat by simply completing the Bounty Missions. Bounty Missions can be accepted from the Missions Boards which can be found in all major civilized colonies that you will visit throughout your journey. Interact with the Mission Board and accept a bounty for a certain reward.
