Starfield’s massive world will let you explore hundreds of planets and let you discover secret areas that are hidden in different Solar Systems. One of the hidden areas that players will get to discover after starting the Mantis side quest by finding a Secret Outpost Slate is Denebola I-b. Once players travel to the secret outpost on Denebola I-b, they will get to engage with high-level enemies and eventually get to solve the Mantis Floor Puzzle to reach the Lair of the Mantis where players will be able to get the Legendary Mantis Gear and Legendary Mantis Ship. However, players must solve the puzzle before they get their hands on legendary items.

How to Solve Mantis Floor Puzzle in Starfield

Once players have made their way to the Secret Outpost on Denebola I-b, they need to take out all of the enemies and loot the enemies at all costs. There is a chance for you to find a Slate called “Leon Voclain – Sic Semper Tyrannis”. This slate will help you solve the puzzle which we will discuss in a moment. Go through the steep hallways to come across an NPC named Livvey. Talk to the NPC and go ahead to reach a floor with Letters on the ground and Turrets on the other side.

The Turrets will only activate if you fail at the puzzle and 1-shot you to your death. Don’t shoot at the turrets whatsoever and if you crew members with you, interact with them and tell them to stay in the position because you don’t want them to step on a wrong letter to fail the puzzle. Now, as we mentioned the slate that you need to find, open it and trace its last letter, TYRANNIS.

Look down and carefully walk over the correct letters to successfully reach the other side. Press the button to open the door and disable the turrets and after that, you can call your crew back to you. After that, you will enter the Lair of the Mantis from where you will be able to get your hands on Legendary gear and ship.
