TBH: Task Bar Hero – Interactive Guide (Classes, Team Builder & Runes)

Go to settings and toggle Auto-Retry to blue the moment you start. Without this, your heroes stop when they fail a stage and you lose all idle progress.

Offline gives only gold and XP. Chests are your entire gear source. Short active sessions (20–30 min) beat long offline periods for account growth every time.

Open the Steam store page for TBH and add the Priest DLC for $0.00. It's the only healer in the game and arguably the most valuable class. Don't skip this.

If a stage is killing you repeatedly, portal back to an earlier stage, farm better gear, then return. The game is designed around this loop — don't force bad matchups.

The Cube opens on Synthesis by default. Switch it to Alchemy immediately to convert junk gear into gold. Alt+Click any item to lock it before bulk-selling.

Grinding for a specific legendary that won't drop? List unwanted gear on the Steam Market and buy exactly what your build needs. Much faster than hoping for RNG.

Stages ending in -9 (like 1-9, 2-9) give the highest XP per run. Route through these when power-leveling a new hero or catching up after unlocking a new slot.

Never spread stats thin. DPS hero → max Attack, Attack Speed, Crit. Tank → max HP and Armor first. Hybrids are weaker than specialists at every stage of the game.

Unlike most idle RPGs, TBH has no ceiling on these two stats. Late-game DPS scales infinitely into them. Take flat Attack Damage early; % bonuses only shine when your base is high.

If TBH vanishes after moving monitors, press Shift+F12 to reset window position. Shift+F11 resets scale if the UI looks tiny. Saves you from reinstalling every time.
