Amazon fires the delivery man who stole the PS5 he was supposed to deliver… and was recorded by a security camera. The family received a refund, but not a replacement. No consoles left!
The launch of PlayStation 5 is causing many unwanted problems. Demand has clearly exceeded supply, and all available console units have been sold out. Sony is happy, as they have had their best launch ever. But many users have been unable to buy it… and do not know when more units will be released.
The worst thing is that some users who managed to book it have been left without it because the consoles have mysteriously disappeared in the delivery process. This is the case of a family in Bicester, UK. The mother, Jenni Walker, managed to book a console for her son, who was 16 years old on the day the console arrived, 19 November. However, the console never arrived, although according to Amazon the product was shipped.
Video recorded with a home security camera show the delivery man delivering several packages to the house. He is seen taking a large box out of the van, which he then puts back in without delivering it.
The father, Richard Walker, reported the case on Twitter. They also went in person to the nearest Amazon office where they showed the images. There they recognized the driver of the van as one of their employees.
After the case one of our website members contacted Amazon Officials and told them the story. After a few hours, they confirmed that the Amazon deliveryman who stole the PS5 has been fired.
