The Medium on Xbox Series S is almost on the same level as the Xbox Series X version, according to Bloober Team

Bloober Team praises the Xbox Series S version of The Medium and talks about the experience of adapting the game to that system.

This week, The Medium, Bloober Team’s new horror exclusive for Xbox Series X | S and PC, hits stores, a psychological horror experience that aspires to become the spiritual successor to Silent Hill; will arrive on Xbox Game Pass on its launch day, January 28.

Its creators are very proud of what they have achieved and especially in the case of the Xbox Series S version, Microsoft’s small next-gen console. The technical limitations of Series S compared to Series X and PC have not been a problem for Bloober Team, and they explain it to us in detail.

In an interview with VG247 middle, Jacek Zieba praises the virtues of The Medium on Xbox Series S. Even he says he spent the game on the console and ending barely differentiated version of Series S regarding her older sister, Xbox X Series.

” Yes, even played the whole game in the Series S a week ago and I was impressed because I thought I had played in the Series X . Someone told me “man, this is the S Series”. What! Awesome, wonderful. Of course, you know, there will be no 4K because S does not support 4K, and of course, maybe it looks a little different than X Series because X is twice as powerful, but the overall experience and fun of the game is the same. I own Series S and I can’t wait to play at home, ” Zieba explained.

Bloober Team has also talked about the ease of working with Microsoft, as well as the easy adaptation to the Xbox Series X | S hardware, which it compares to the architecture of a current PC. With the S Series version, all you had to do was adapt and optimize The Medium, in addition to, of course, not having 4K resolution.

This is great news for all Xbox Series S owners, which, when announced, received some criticism about whether it would be able to move the big next-gen games. For the moment, the developers have had no problems, thanks to its SSD and architecture identical to Xbox Series X.

‘With each generation, consoles are getting closer and closer to the PC. The structure and everything, so with the new Xbox Series X and S consoles, it was kind of a no-brainer, you know, like the engine was set up for it and the architecture was normal, you know how these things work, not like with PS3 and other consoles. So there were no problems, it was a very pleasant experience. ”

The Medium will hit stores within a few days, available for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC, and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy it from its launch day at no additional cost.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
