Three new species of beetles recently discovered have been named after Pokémon

Recently news related to Pokémon has been shared that is enchanting the fans. Apparently, new species of beetles have been named after Pokémon.

It is not the first time that a species has been named after a Pokémon (such as the Aerodactylus fossil, which is named Aerodactyl), but it is certainly curious. Three newly discovered species of beetles appear to be named after Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. These are species discovered by Dr. Darren Pollock and Yun Hsiao, as part of their research on native Australian beetle species.

They are a new genus of beetles from Australia, called Binburrum. Later, Hsiao discovered that there were different variations of Binburrum and three types were identified. Since he was a Pokémon fan since he was little, Hsiao suggested naming all three after the Legendary Birds of Kanto from Pokémon Red and Blue.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
