Unreal Engine taught to combine dynamic resolution and DLSS

Nvidia has talked about future DLSS features in games with Unreal Engine on its website. They should appear by the end of September.

The first is the Ultra Performance Mode, designed primarily for 8K gaming on an RTX 3090 with DLSS. As Nvidia said at its Sept. 1 showcase, at 8K this card will even go as high as 60 FPS.

The second feature is VR support, which allows you to save 90 frames per second at a resolution of 2880×1600 on powerful helmets. At the same time, DLSS was not previously used in virtual reality devices.

Finally, the main innovation in DLSS will be support for the dynamic resolution, which keeps the output resolution fixed.

Now DLSS works in such a way that for upscaling, for example, up to 4K, the technology uses the original 1080p resolution. However, with the new feature, instead of 1080p, there may be a variable value.

Based on Nvidia’s blog, while these features are for DLSS on the Unreal Engine, it is likely that there will be general support later.

On September 1, Nvidia held a big showcase of its Ampere generation graphics cards. The company says it has achieved the biggest leap in productivity in its history.

Ampere-based cards will begin shipping in September when the RTX 3080 and 3090 go on sale. The RTX 3070 is expected in October.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
