V Rising: How to get Whetstone

In V Rising, you have to encounter different Ais to get some resources off of them or loot different chests or smash barrels to find the resources. One of the most important resources in the V Rising is the Whetstone which can be hard to get due to enemies. But worry not because we will tell you how to get the Whetstone and craft it.

Where to Get Whetstone

The Whetstones can be found in the Bandit Encampments around the map and you can also see the important loot of different places on the map so if you see an area with a Whetstone as an important loot then you can go there and get the Whetstone. It can be difficult for you if you are a new player and don’t have much gear level. The bandits that drop the Whetstone are higher level and they can be hard to defeat but if you have weapons and gear then you can tackle them and defeat them.

The Whetstone can be picked up from the bodies of the bandits or you can break the boxes and barrels to find some or there’ll be a chest around the camp in which you can find the Whetstone. This method is for the new players in the game as they don’t have opened the recipe of Whetstone.

How to get Whetstone

In order to craft the Whetstone, you need to defeat the level 27 boss named Garyson the Armourer which means you have to be higher level so you can defeat this boss and get the recipe of the Whetstone.

To unlock the recipe, just track his blood from the Blood Altar then go to his location and defeat this boss and extract his V Blood so you can get Crimson Aegis ability, blueprints, and recipe of Whetstone.

Once you’ve defeated the boss, you’ll unlock the recipe of Whetstone and now you can craft it in your Furnace at your base. You’d need to have 1 Copper Ingot and 12 Stone Dust in order to make 1 Whetstone.

Once you’ve unlocked the recipe, it would be easy for you to upgrade your weapons and you don’t have to go to the bandit camps to kill Ais to get Whetstone.
