Watch the first Animal Crossing: New Horizons fashion show

The coronavirus pandemic has turned fashion life upside down – that’s a fact. While many of us are still struggling with new realities, the fashion world is already actively rebuilding, trying to adapt to new conditions.

Due to the self-isolation mode, all summer fashion weeks were canceled. But some designers, such as Anif Mwuamba, use this opportunity to stand out and become innovators. For example, to arrange a fashion show online – in the game “Animal Crossing: New Horizons”.

In March, Nintendo Switch released the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and the whole world literally became obsessed with it. Now the video game is reaching a new level: the fashion site!

Since the release of the game, the character outfit design feature has been sought after by fashion fans around the world. Fans recreated their favorite outfits in the game and enjoyed life. And this weekend, the world’s first official virtual fashion show with the characters of the game took place. Can you imagine how cool?

As reported Vogue The Berlin-based fashion organization Reference Festival teamed up with photographer Kara Chung and stylist Mark Goering to host a one-of-a-kind virtual fashion show. Using characters from the show as models, they showed images inspired by recent projects by Loewe and Prada.

“When working on a virtual collection, you should think about what details can be removed from the image and what can be pixelated so that in the end one concrete image remains and it is recognizable. Maybe this is the way to the future? Time will tell! In the meantime, watch the resulting video from the show, ”says the stylist.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
