Catching all rarities of bugs is the crucial step of leveling up the Bug Catching Guild. It will unlock advanced versions of the Belt, as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Bug Catching Guild Store. One of the new, rare Bugs that players can catch is the Blood Beetle. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch the Blood Beetle in Palia.

Where to Find Blood Beetle in Palia

The Blood Beetle is one of the new rare bugs in the game that spawn in the cavern areas of the Elderwood map region. The best area to find Blood Beetles is the Red Blossom Cave. It is a big cavern area close to the swamps and the forest. The Blood Beetle has a high chance of spawning near the red glowing flora, which is on the southern side of the cave. Blood Beetle is a Rare beetle, so it is relatively harder to find than the common beetles.

How to Catch Blood Beetle in Palia

Catching the Blood Beetle is easier than most bugs in Elderwood. Moreover, you can easily locate it due to its regular size and black and red colors. The easiest way to locate it is to listen for the bug sound queues while roaming in the Red Blossom Cave. Upon finding the Blood Beetle, use the Smoke Bombs to stun it.

Additionally, stunning the Blood Beetle will require a couple of Smoke Bombs, so make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Blood Beetle gets alerted, it will try to flee by crawling in a straight line. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it. Once you have stunned the Blood Beetle, go near it and interact with it to pick it up.

NOTE: There is a chance you might run into an infected Blood Beetle, which has a darker aura around it. If that happens, you need to use the Elderwood Smoke Bombs instead of regular Smoke Bombs. The Elderwood Smoke Bombs recipe is given by Najuma during the Bugging Out quest.

Catching the infected Blood Beetle will also drop some Infected Essence.

Uses of Blood Beetle in Palia

Players can sell Blood Beetles for 140 Gold (Base) or 210 Gold (Star-Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or those who need it. So, if you can find any Blood Beetles, store one in the storage so you can give one to the villagers who need it. The villagers’ needs change every week, so it is better to keep an eye on them.

Playing Video Games is the very first hobby that I partake in and it became my favorite hobby. Played Unreal Tournament 2004 as my first game which made me a fan of FPS Games. Story and Adventure Games are still my Cup of Tea to go with as they give more detailing to the described worlds and characters. I love to help out my fellow gamers across all over the world by making my publications.
