Where to Find and Catch Phoenix Moth in Palia
Discover where to find and catch Phoenix Moth, a new rare bug in Palia, exclusive to the Royal Highlands adventure zone.
Palia offers various types of bugs that players can catch while doing the Bug Catching Guild. Catching all rarities of bugs is the crucial step of leveling up the Bug Catching Guild to unlock advanced versions of the Belt, as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Bug Catching Guild Store. One of the new rare bugs that players can catch is the Phoenix Moth. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch the Phoenix Moth in Palia.
Where to Find Phoenix Moth in Palia

The Phoenix Moth is one of the new rare bugs in the game that spawn in multiple areas of the Royal Highlands map region. They are pretty easy to spot due to their decent size and distinctive red-and-orange color. The areas where the Phoenix Moth has a high chance of spawning are as follows.
- Royal Hunting Grounds
- Steps of Renova
- Lonely Glen
- Amber Lake
TIP: If you are not seeing any Phoenix Moth in the area, try catching other bugs in the area to raise the chances of spawning Phoenix Moth.
Out of all the main areas, the Royal Hunting Grounds has a high spawn rate of Phoenix Moth. Moreover, the Phoenix Moth can spawn on the grounds of the Enfield Manor. It is best that you explore the area thoroughly. However, you might find some of the Phoenix Moths inside the Amber crystals. You need to break these crystals before you can catch them.
How to Catch Phoenix Moth in Palia
Catching the Phoenix Moth is harder than most bugs that roam freely in Royal Highlands. Upon finding a Phoenix Moth, use the Smoke Bombs to stun it.
Additionally, stunning the Phoenix Moth will require numerous Smoke Bombs, so make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Phoenix Moth gets alerted, it will try to flee in a straight line. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it. Once you have stunned the Phoenix Moth, go near it and interact with it to pick it up.

NOTE: There is a chance you might run into an Amber-touched Phoenix Moth, which has an Amber around it.
Catching the Amber-touched Phoenix Moth will drop more Amber Echo. However, if you do not have the Echo Tracker, you will not get Amber Echo from catching Phoenix Moth or any other bug. Echo Tracker is a special relic that Eshelon gives during the “A Stitch in Time” quest.
Uses of Phoenix Moth in Palia
The main use of Phoenix Moth is to use it as a crafting ingredient for Eloine’s Blessing III Relic. Other than that, players can sell Phoenix Moth for 130 Gold (Base) or 195 Gold (Star-Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or those who need it. So, if you can find any Phoenix Moths, store one in the storage so you can give one to the villagers who need it. The villagers’ needs change every week, so it is better to keep an eye on them.
