Where to find the M1911 and the Jack Handle in Resident Evil Village

When I should be complaining about Resident Evil games, the layer of dirt over everything occasionally makes it a little difficult to find important items. The subject of this guide, the Jack Handle, had me running in circles for thirty minutes after accidentally walking right past it. I think my complaints are justified. So you don’t feel as silly as I do. You can find the M1911 and the Jack Handle in Resident Evil Village here.

After returning to the village proper after dealing with Lady Dimitrescu and her beautiful daughters, you are asked to find a house with a red chimney. The problem is that the entrance gate to this house is locked and the only way around the back is blocked by a large tractor. The tractor has a jack underneath, but you have to find the handle to operate it. Fortunately, it is actually close by.

Southwest of Luiza’s house is the workshop, a larger property littered with mechanical parts. You’ll know it when you see it; there is a prominent sign on the gate that says “DO NOT ENTER”.

Enter the small shed on your left and pick up the photo on the counter. On the back is the message “Look out the window”. On the floor nearby is a cupboard with a six-digit lock. As the photo shows, you have to look out the window for the six digits of the machines lying around in the yard. Fair warning: if you look out the window, a Lycan will appear and scream in your face.

Once you have dealt with the Lycan, interact with the lock to enter the code: 070408. In the cupboard is the M1911 pistol, a major improvement over your starter pistol with rapid-fire action, and most importantly, the Jack handle. Don’t miss the grip. It’s the same color as the cabinet. So if you are like me, you may not see it at a casual glance.

I enjoy playing games, and gaming is a passion of mine. Among my favorite games are Tears of the Kingdom, GTA, and Cyberpunk.
