Xbox boss speaks out on expectations for his games to reach Nintendo Switch

The collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo is still ongoing, which makes many fans wonder if we will be able to see more Xbox games on Switch. Recently, Microsoft’s boss Phil Spencer made some interesting statements on this subject during a meeting with the GameReactor media.
It seems that Spencer is aware of the expectations that many Nintendo Switch players have about the possibility of receiving games from him on the console. However, at the moment it seems that he can’t confirm anything at other levels as is the case with PCs.
Here is the shared message:
The question we sometimes ask ourselves is: what about this specific platform? And what I really mean is that we are in a kind of all-or-nothing situation with every platform. I don’t think it’s a good thing that, with every first party game that comes out, I have to answer whether it’s coming to Nintendo Switch or not, even though I love Nintendo and our relationship is good. There is this expectation of customers as now in PC, where people really do not ask, there may be some time adjustments, about when certain things happen, but if we are launching a game itself will come to PC, will come to Steam and our own shop.
It’s like we’re building up an expectation of our customers. That’s my goal, and then there will be, as you said, maybe little anomalies from time to time and because of relationships and certain developers who want to do certain things, but my goal is to make the games played by as many people as possible. And I want to be in the places where Xbox is, so that a client of those platforms can have the expectation that they will be able to play. And I feel good about the games we’re creating, and I feel good about that on PCs, so a client on those platforms can have the expectation that they’re going to be able to play it.
