There is Not Enough Currency in Diablo IV’s Battle Pass to Even Buy the Next Season’s Battle Pass

Diablo IV’s first Season is currently live with an expected end time of around Mid-October. Like any other Season-friendly game, it includes a Battle Pass with 100 tiers. There are 27 free tiers in the Battle Pass that every player can achieve, and 63 premium tiers which are only achievable by the players who have bought the Battle Pass. The price of the Battle Pass is $10, and players will get 1,000 Platinum, which is a premium currency of the game.

Similar to other games with premium currency, it is used to buy various cosmetics or items from the Store inside the game. The Platinum currency enables players to purchase cosmetics and different items from the Store in the main menu of the game. However, recently, the Battle Pass of Diablo IV’s 1st Season started to get criticized by players because of the total premium currency it gives at the end of the Battle Pass.

In most other games with a Battle Pass mechanic, the Battle Pass gives out complete premium currency back so that players can buy the next season’s Battle Pass and grind it to get the currency back again. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Diablo IV’s Battle Pass. The Battle Pass of Diablo IV only gives out 666 Platinum, which is not even enough to buy the cheapest item from the in-game store. The cheapest item in Diablo IV’s Store is listed for 800 Platinum.

Players are furious over the fact that Blizzard does not even give out full premium currency back to the players so that they can buy the next season’s Battle Pass. Each Battle Pass will cost 1,000 Platinum, and if players get a lower amount of Platinum back from the Battle Pass, they would have to repurchase the premium currency, making Blizzard’s Diablo IV appear as a Cash-Grab game.

Diablo IV is consistently receiving criticism for everything new Blizzard puts out for the players. Let’s hope that Blizzard might look into this and provide full premium currency to the players so that they can buy the next season’s Battle Pass.”
