Windrose: Best Precision Build
In this guide, we will mention the best precision build you can make in Windrose, including all weapons, armor pieces, and food items.
Windrose allows a player to build up their character in numerous ways to deal with the deadly threat of life and undead. Players can choose to build a character that specializes in using heavy melee weapons, fast and sweeping weapons, or ranged weapons. Additionally, players can go for status effects of fire damage, bleed, and critical hit to further strengthen the build. One of the best builds that you can come up with in Windrose is a Precision Build. It allows players to deal devastating damage with ranged and technical weapons, mainly for single-target damage and ranged play. Moreover, if you choose to use certain weapons and gear, you can turn this build into an unkillable one. In this guide, we will mention the best precision build you can make in Windrose, including all weapons, armor pieces, and food items.
What is the Best Precision Build in Windrose
Precision is one of the six main stats in Windrose. It scales damage for ranged and technical weapons. You can find some of the best weapons with precision scaling from the early to mid-game, and we will be using these weapons to make the best precision build. The precision build we are going for is the Precision-bleed build with Life Steal.
This precision build excels in applying the bleed effect on an enemy to deal bleed damage over time, and shooting them from a range for more damage and life steal. As precision build allows you to get close and personal to imply bleed, it is possible that you might take a hit or two. However, it is nothing to worry about, as you can dodge away and then shoot a pistol with Life Steal perk on it to replenish health for the damage dealt. This strategy is what makes this build one of the best in the game and makes you unkillable.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| High Damage Output (Melee and Ranged) | Potential threat of taking hits |
| High Survivability | Relies on Life Steal perk |
| Less Stamina Consumption |
Stats and Talents for Best Precision Build

The stats and talents are pretty straightforward for the best precision build in Windrose. You need to accumulate all points into the “Precision” stat to have the best damage scaling. You will have 50 Precision if you spend all stat points into it. Alternatively, I will recommend that you spend at least 3 stat points into Endurance to enhance the maximum Stamina. This will allow you to strike more hits and get out of a threat without a sweat.
For the Talents, I would recommend spending points on the following.
- Deep Impact (Level 3): Increases Pierce Damage by 9%.
- Planning Ahead (Level 3): Improves Passive Gun Reload Speed by 25%.
- Firearm Training (Level 3): Increases Ranged Damage by 10%.
- Bulletstorm (Level 3): Consecutive ranged hits without missing grant a stacking 9% Damage bonus to your next shot, capped after 4 hits.
These talents will increase the potential damage of the pistol weapon, allowing you to shoot at enemies calmly.
Weapons for Best Precision Build

The two main weapons that we will be using for the Precision Build are Rapier of a Thousand Cuts (Melee) and Plague Pistol (Range). Both of these weapons have Precision scaling and offer the best perks that make this entire build possible.
- Rapier of a Thousand Cuts
- Dealing Damage applies Bleeding. Stacks up to 5 times. Each stack deals 25 Damage per second.
- Bleed damage dealt while holding this weapon restores Temporal Health.
- Plague Pistol
- Restores 40% of dealt Damage as Health.
Your main focus should be on hitting an enemy with the sword to apply the bleed effect. After that, you can focus on the other enemy or get away to keep dealing the bleed damage over time. If you get hit or grouped up by enemies, utilize the Plague Pistol to hit the enemies to regain health. The better bullets you use, the higher your health will replenish.
Armor Set and Jewelry for Best Precision Build

The armor set that I recommend for this precision build is the Marksman’s Rig. It is a Rare armor set that you can get from the Provisioner of the Brethren of the Coast faction. The main reason why this armor set is good is due to less Stamina consumption and more Ranged damage, both ideal for a precision build. As you will not have many points in Endurance, this armor will help you greatly in dodging out of tougher situations.
- Marksman’s Rig (Armor Set) includes five pieces, including Boots, Gloves, Pants, Tricorne, and Doublet. Acquiring the pieces will give you the following effects.
- 2-piece:Sprinting, Jump, and Dash consume 30% less Stamina.
- 4-piece: Increases Ranged Damage by 15%.

For the Jewelry items, I recommend the Champion Ring and Necklace of Precision. The Champion Ring makes you use less stamina while attacking, and the Necklace of Precision increases the maximum Precision stat for more damage scale.
Food Items for Best Precision Build
Lastly, you do need to bring some food items with you, especially the ones that provide additional Precision. There are numerous food items, but you should go with the Epic food items for the most Precision buff. To be exact, you need to make plenty of Swamp Pie. It increases the maximum health for 30 minutes and gives +20 Precision.

In addition to this food item, I also recommend using the Seafood Platter, mainly for the +20 Vitality buff. Upon using both of these food items, you will gain a maximum health increase for 30 minutes.
