Saros: How to Break the Yellow Barriers
Discover how to break the Yellow Barriers, one of the hurdles that block you from exploring side routes in the biomes in Saros.
Progressing through the biomes of Carcosa in Saros will make you come across various side routes. Side routes are essential for exploring a biome fully to find all Halcyon. However, accessing the side routes will require you to use the jump pads, the grappling hook, or break through the yellow barriers. You will come across the yellow barriers right from the start of the game, but you won’t be able to get past them until the very end. In this guide, we will tell you how to break the yellow barriers in Saros.
How to Break the Yellow Barriers in Saros
Breaking the Yellow Barriers requires the same solution as breaking the Red Barriers or shield on enemies, punching (R1). However, you cannot punch through the Yellow Barriers until you unlock the Blazing Strike ability. You unlock the Blazing Strike ability as part of the main progress at the end of the game. When you reach the Yellow Shore, the final biome, you will come across a yellow barrier on the main path. Here, you will get a brief introduction to the Blazing Strike, allowing you to break through the yellow barriers.

Before this point, all you can do is ignore these yellow barriers. Once you get the Blazing Strike, you can start initiating the run on each biome to explore all the side routes. Whenever you come across a yellow barrier, press R1 to punch through it. Usually, the path on the other side offers more loot, including Lucenite, Halcyon, Containers, and Health orbs.
If you are missing any Halcyon from the biomes, it might be behind the yellow barriers. Most probably, you would want to explore all of the biomes after completing Act 3, and it is the right call. It is because you will have access to all the tools and abilities, allowing you to explore every side route in every biome, which you had to ignore in the initial playthrough.
