Everything Coming in Palia’s Royal Highlands Expansion

According to the devs and the previews, it is the biggest adventure zone yet, bigger than all three zones available at the moment in the game. Before we dive deep into the details of the expansion, here is a brief overview of the features coming in Palia’s Royal Highlands expansion.

Royal Highlands, Horses, and Lore

The biggest highlights of the expansion are the new adventure zone and the addition of horses. Royal Highlands will be accessible to almost all players on day one, assuming they have completed the “Like a Bird” quest. It is one of the earliest quests of the game, so it should be easy to complete this requirement. However, players who want to pursue the new storyline and want to get their first horse will have to complete the Elderwood main story.
Players will find their first horse trapped in Amber Echo, a new mystery exclusive to the Royal Highlands. As players get their first horse, they will be able to ride it across Royal Highlands and the other zones. Players will be able to name, feed, and pet their own horses. Moreover, they can also breed the horses for unique traits at the ranch.
In addition to this, players who love Palian lore will be in for a treat. The Royal Highlands includes a new mystery of Amber Echo, and it also opens up the lore of the Beast of the Elderwood. Moreover, the previews also state that the new character. Eshelon might be related to the Beast. We are hoping to receive some answers from the new storyline about the Beast.
Exploration of Royal Highlands

Royal Highlands is an ancient place lost to time, with wide open spaces, ancient human ruins, and golden grasses. It is designed with care and love, which you get to explore thoroughly on foot or on the back of your horse. Similar to other zones, Royal Highlands includes unique materials, minerals, fish, creatures, bugs, and more. We highly recommend collecting any material or creature you come across during your initial exploration. However, make sure that you bring Fine (tier) tools to Royal Highlands to mine, forage, hunt, and fish.
New Additions and Improvements in the Update

In addition to the Royal Highlands adventure zone, there will be several new additions coming in the patch. One of the crucial additions will be the Jadium Storage, the next tier of Storage. As there will be a new set of materials, you will need more space to store them. However, we expect that the Jadium Storage recipe will be expensive, anywhere from 150,000 – 200,000 Gold, so it is best to stock up on Gold.
A new Lunar Path, Path of the Pony, arrives with the expansion. As you progress through the path, you will unlock the ability to raise the levels of a building. Moreover, a new housing line, the Ancient Human Home Line, seems to be the most elegant one yet. Not only that, you can customize the new home line or your previous one with Aristocrat’s Décor.
Last but not least, the Clothing Dye will finally arrive with the Royal Highlands expansion. You will be able to apply unlocked dyes to your existing outfits. If you have some cool designs in your mind, better save up on Tailor Tickets to bring your creativity to life.
