Where to Find and Catch Highland Shark in Palia

Highland Shark is one of the new legendary fish in Palia, added with the Sunkissed Summer: Amberlight Affair update. This new fish plays an important role in celebrating the Shark’s season. The new Maws and Paws community event is taking place from July 20 to July 27, 2026, and catching a Highland Shark counts 5x towards a goal. In this guide, we will tell you where to find and catch the Highland Shark in Palia.

Where to Find Highland Shark in Palia

Players can find Highland Shark in the Royal Highlands bay areas at any time of the day in the Royal Highlands map region. It is a brand-new fish and can only be found on the Royal Highlands map. There are several spots in the Royal Highlands where players can fish in the Royal Highlands bay areas. However, before Highland Shark spawns for a player, they must progress and reach tier 28 in the Path of the Maws. Once players have unlocked the Highland Shark reward from the Lunar Path, it will start spawning in the Saltwaters of Royal Highlands.

One of the best fishing spots to find Highland Shark is Enfield Shores. Another great spot for finding Highland Shark is at the shore south of the Amber Lake. As Highland Shark is available at all times, you can check both of these locations during your exploration.

How to Catch Highland Shark in Palia

Upon reaching the fishing location, start catching fish in the deep area of the water while equipped with a Glow Worm.

NOTE: Glow Worm is mandatory for catching the Highland Shark. Make sure not to equip the Glow Worm Bait on the fishing rod before casting the line into the water.

Cast the line as far as you can with your fishing rod and wait for the bobber to shake three times. As the bobber starts to move after the third shake, reel in the fish by holding the Left-Click Button and moving the mouse to keep the fish inside the brackets to catch it.

TIP: Use the Angler’s Fortune to increase the chance of catching the Highland Shark.

NOTE: If you spot Amber on the fishing spot, use the arrows to break the Amber. Catching Highland Shark from the Amber spot will give you some Amber Echo as additional loot.

However, if you do not have the Echo Tracker, you will not get Amber Echo from catching Highland Shark or any other fish. Echo Tracker is a special relic that Eshelon gives during the “A Stitch in Time” quest.

Uses of Highland Shark in Palia

The main use of Highland Shark is to catch it during the Maws and Paws community event. Other than that, players can sell Highland Shark fish for 2,980 Gold (Base) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or who need it as a weekly want. If you catch any Highland Shark fish, store them in the storage so you can give them to villagers who need them. The needs of villagers change every week, so keep your eyes on them. Lastly, you can use Highland Shark as an ingredient to cook various fish dishes.
