Disney Dreamlight Valley: Rescue Mission Quest Guide

Rescue Mission is an event quest for Oogie Boogie in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It is the Week 4 quest, following the Ghost in the Portrait quest. Similar to the previous quest, this new quest is a challenge from Oogie Boogie. Players must participate in Oogie Boogie’s challenges to unlock him at the end of the Week 6 quest. In this guide, we will walk you through the Rescue Mission quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Rescue Mission Quest Walkthrough – Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Rescue Mission quest requires you to read the mail from Oogie Boogie. Go to your house and open the Mailbox to read the “A Little Warning” message from Oogie Boogie.

Talk to Oogie Boogie

Go into Scrooge’s Store and interact with the Strange Mirror to go into the Mirror Lair. Head up the staircase and speak with Oogie Boogie.

Investigate the weird décor

After speaking with Oogie Boogie, you need to investigate the five weird décor pieces around the Mirror Lair.

• Podium: In the right corner of the store.
• Potion Bottles: On the main counter of the store.
• Polar Bear: On the couch to the left of the store.
• Wall Lantern: Left of the main counter.
• Hanging Plant: Behind the left stairs.

Once done, go back to Oogie Boogie to confront him about the Ghosties.

Talk to Merlin and Distract Oogie Boogie

After speaking with Oogie Boogie, speak with Merlin in the Mirror Lair. For the next objective, you must have Zero equipped as your companion. Open the companions tab to equip Zero. Once done, go back to Oogie Boogie and speak with him for distraction. Go through the dialogue and then head down the staircase to see what Zero has found in Oogie Boogie’s lair.

Gather the Ingredients for Extra-Strength Bug Spray

Go to the center of the store to find a firepit. Fish in the two bubbles inside the firepit to gather the Lava Core and Skeleton Fish. Once done, speak with Goofy inside the store for a Fragrant, Perfectly Tended Flower. Lastly, you need 10 Dream Shards, which you probably already have. If not, then you can get them by feeding critters their favorite food and digging sparkling spots around the Valley.

Craft the Extra-Strength Bug Spray

After gathering all the ingredients, interact with the crafting station and craft 2x Extra-Strength Bug Spray. There is a crafting station in the Mirror Lair on the ground floor.

Once done, bring the bug spray to Merlin and Scrooge McDuck in the Mirror Lair. After speaking with Merlin and Scrooge McDuck, go to Oogie Boogie and confront him. Go through the dialogue, and the quest will conclude. Moreover, you will receive the Decorative Oogie Boogie Bats as a reward.
