Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Complete New Trick or Treat Duties

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Trick or Treat event is back for a couple of weeks, running from October 14 to October 31, 2026. This year’s Trick or Treat event brings a new feature of Trick or Treat with villagers that lets you earn more candies per day. Moreover, there are a couple of new event duties that reward new Halloween-themed furniture recipes. In total, there are seven duties in this year’s Trick or Treat event, and if you want to unlock all the rewards, it is better to know how to complete them. In this guide, we will explain how to complete the new Trick or Treat duties in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete New Trick or Treat Duties in Disney Dreamlight Valley

“Sweet ‘n’ Scary” and “Scarily Sweet” are the two new duties in this year’s Trick or Treat Event in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Both of these duties revolve around the new trick-or-treat-with-villagers feature. Players can do trick-or-treating with 5 villagers per day. Jack Skellington, Mickey Mouse, WALL-E, Daisy, and Stitch will have a lit Jack-o’-Lantern outside their house. Go and interact with the lit lanterns to initiate a trick-or-treat conversation with the respective villager. In return, you will get 5x Red Candy, 5x Green Candy, and 5x Purple Candy. This interaction is one per character per day and resets daily, meaning you can do 5 interactions in total every day.

Sweet ‘n’ Scary Duty

The Sweet ‘n’ Scary duty has three milestones (1, 2, & 3), and it requires you to do trick-or-treating at villagers’ houses. Doing three trick-or-treats with the villagers will complete this duty. You can complete this duty in one go, as you can do up to 5 trick-or-treats in a day. Upon every milestone of this duty, you will earn a recipe for the new Halloween Town furniture item.

Scarily Sweet Duty

The Scarily Sweet duty also has three milestones (5, 10, & 20). Similar to the other duty, it requires you to do trick-or-treating at villagers’ houses. The only difference is the amount. Completing all milestones of this duty takes 4 days if you do all five interactions per day.
