Age of Wonders 4: How to Get Knowledge

Knowledge is crucial to learn new Skills from Tomes because it is the only resource that will help you research new skills. As you progress ahead in the game, you will be required to improve your factions by unlocking certain bonuses. When you select a new Tome, you will get initial bonuses with it but for the rest of the bonuses of the Tome, you will have to research it which can only be done by Knowledge.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get Knowledge in Age of Wonders 4.

How to Get Knowledge in Age of Wonders 4

You will start with a certain amount of Knowledge just like the rest of the Main Resources in the game. When you create your Faction and declare its traits, you will get to select the Tomes which will give you a couple of bonuses along with spells. Now, in order to unlock further bonuses for your faction, you will have to research for which you will be required Knowledge. The more knowledge you have, the faster you will research new skills and bonuses.

Knowledge can be seen on the top left of your screen and in order to increase the Knowledge, you will have to do the following things.

• You can get Knowledge by building City Structures such as libraries, Arcane Institute, Academy, and Scholars Guild. All four of these structures will give you a certain increase in your total Knowledge.
• When you annex a province, you need to select the Research Posts to be built on Province Improvements to earn Knowledge. You can also select Frostspire for Special Province Improvement to gain extra Knowledge.
• You can earn more Knowledge by unlocking certain skills in the Affinity Skill Trees.
• Knowledge can also be earned by completing quests and resource pickups.
