Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Will Not Have a Full Audio of Russian Voice Language

The Expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 has voice acting in 10 different languages that support full audio and clearance of the story to players around the glove. However, Phantom Liberty does not have voice acting in the Russian Language only the interface and the subtitles. The company that does dubbing in Russian languages of bigger games like A Plague Tale, Control, etc. has been declined by the developers for producing the voices for Complete Expansion.

GamesVoice is a Russian company that does voice lines for all infamous game titles. They did a pole back in June for which upcoming game they should do the voice lines and a lot of players asked them to provide voice acting for the upcoming Expansion of Cyberpunk 2077. The company reached out to the developers and asked for permission to do the dubbing but they were declined due to “clear commercial orientation” for its authors. Meaning they could face some serious charges and legal consequences for violating contractual obligations.

Since the GameVoice is a third-party company that provides voice acting, it will be an unofficial Russian language from the original developers so, they got declined. Apart from getting declined, GameVoice has other challenges as well they will have to face for providing such a big game with Russian Voice Acting. Providing Voice Acting of a complete game is not cheap and it will cost the company millions of Rubles to generate tens of thousands of Audio Files and it is one of the factors that the company understood well.

Eventually, GameVoice dropped the project for providing Voice Acting in Russian for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and the Devs officially confirmed that the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will not include the Audio Log of Russian Language but it does contain the Interface and Subtitles of Russian Language. So, it might not be a full experience for the Russian gamers out there to enjoy the game to the full extent.
