Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Unlock Warrior & Sorcerer Vocations

Switching your vocation is essential in Dragon’s Dogma 2 as it would allow you to gain new augmentations from various classes and acquire them to have additional bonuses in your main vocation. As there are only four starting vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you will notice an additional two vocations when you reach Venworth, the Capital of Vermund.

These two vocations are Warrior and Sorcerer which will require 150 DCP each but before acquiring them, you would have to bring respective weapons for each vocation to Klaus, Vocation Guild Store owner in Vernworth.

This guide will highlight all the steps that you need to pursue to unlock both Warrior and Sorcerer Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to Unlock Warrior & Sorcerer Vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Begin the Vocation Frustration Quest by Speaking with Klaus

Unlocking the Warrior and Sorcerer vocations in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will first require you to reach Vernworth and speak with Klaus at the Vocation Guild store to start the Vocation Frustration quest. The Vocation Guild is located to the south of the Town Square beneath Shakir’s Inn, so make your way to Klaus and choose to speak with him. He will mention that Roderick will be able to tell you where to find the respective weapons for the Warrior and Sorcerer vocations.

Speak with Roderick

Speak with Roderick at his Smithy shop in the Town Square. His shop is on the right beside the staircase. Make your way to Roderick’s Smithy and speak with him to learn the location of Trevo Mine where you can find both of the weapons.

Travel to Trevo Mine to Find the Weapons

After speaking with Roderick, open the map to see the location of Trevo Mine on the map. It is located west of Venworth which can be reached by following a pretty straightforward path left of Venworth.

Once you have reached Trevo Mine, you will encounter several goblins so, make sure to eliminate them before heading deep into the cave. After taking care of the Goblins, continue ahead in the cave and you will reach a room with two boulders, go past them and stay on the path on the right side to reach a room with a wooden bridge.

Before heading up, continue straight and you enter a small passageway in which you will find the chest at the end containing a weapon called “Grievous Horns”, Sorcerer Vocation Weapon. Now, go back and head up to the rocks with the broken bridge and stay on the right side to come across another passageway where you will get to fight some more goblins.

Defeat the Goblins to continue ahead and you reach a room with a chest on the left side which will contain a weapon called “Two-Hander”.

Return the Weapons to Klaus

After getting both of the required weapons, make your way back to Vernworth and then into the Vocation Guild to speak with Klaus. Here, you will get the option to turn in the weapons and as you turn in both of the weapons, you will unlock both Warrior and Sorcerer vocations at Klaus available for acquiring.

To switch to either Warrior or Sorcerer vocations, simply select the “Change Vocation” option and pay a 150 DCP fee. You will be able to change between the vocations at any time as it is only a one-time payment for acquiring these vocations.
