Final Fantasy XVI: Fanning Embers (Main Mission) – Walkthrough

In this guide, we’ll be covering the Fanning Embers mission of Final Fantasy XVI.

Fanning Embers – Walkthrough

Fanning Embers mission starts as players will fast-travel to Greatwood location on the map at the end of the Hide, Hideaway mission. A cutscene will start after traveling to Greatwood and after the cutscene, Torgal will join the party and will fight alongside Clive. Players can control Torgal attacks by using the Up, Right, and Down Buttons on the D-Pad. Go ahead on the path and take out Worgen creatures.

Go ahead on the path and after the cutscene, drop down to fight the Vampire Thorns. Defeat the enemies and pick up a Wyrrite near the log. Push ahead and watch the cutscene and then go along the path. Pick up 2x Sharp Fang in the way and after that slay the Dragon Aevis. Defeating Dragon Aevis will give the following spoils.

• 12 Experience Points
• 30 Ability Points
• 500 Gil
• 1x Dragon Talon
• 15x Sharp Fang

Keep going along the path and pick up a potion and a Steelsilk on the way. Go to Torgal position where he is barking and just past the Torgal, lies a Magicked Ash. Pink it up and go through the gap to go ahead. Pick 2x Sharp Fang in the way and defeat Worgen creatures and Vampire Thorns. Hold down the L3 Button to let Torgal highlight the path ahead. Go ahead on the highlighted path and pick up a Potion and 2 Bloody Hides along the way.

Drop down in the area ahead and a boss fight against Fafnir will begin. Defeating Fafnir will give the following Spoils.

• 28 Experience Points
• 70 Ability Points
• 1000 Gil
• 2x Gnarled Scale
• 40x Wyrrite

Watch the cutscene after defeating Fafnir and then go through the gap ahead. Pick up the potion, high potion, and 2x Bloody Hides along the way and then slide down to another area. Defeat the Hornet Enemies along with Worgen and Vampire Thorns. Search around the area to find Sharp Fangs and Magicked Ash and then follow up the stream to defeat more Vampire Thorns and another Dragon Aevis.

Defeat the enemies and then loot the chest to obtain a Meteorite and go ahead on the path. Watch the cutscene and then defeat the Royal Guard enemies along with Midnight Raven (boss). Defeating the Midnight Raven will give the following Spoils.

• 99 Experience Points
• 90 Ability Points
• 1500 Gil
• 1x Badge of Might
• 30x Steelsilk
• 1x Meteorite

Watch a brief cutscene and then Fast-Travel to Orabelle Downs location on the map to conclude the mission.
