How to get Sneasler in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
In this guide, we explain how to get Sneasler, the new evolution of Sneasel in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the next installment in Game Freak’s popular pocket monster-catching, training, and battling saga, is now available on Nintendo Switch. Whether you’re a new trainer or a veteran, great adventures and lots of new things await you in the Hisui region.
The main objective of Pokémon Legends: Arceus is to complete the Pokédex (get them all!), which means that you have many hours ahead of you throwing Poké Balls and training Pokémon to level up and evolve.
However, and as usual in the saga, there are certain Pokémon with which it is not enough to level up to evolve; specific (and somewhat convoluted) methods are required for them to transform. Such is the case with Sneasler!
Sneasler is the evolution of Hisui’s Sneasel, and we know it throughout the adventure because it is one of the Pokémon mounts that we can obtain. But, as with Wyrdeer and the rest of Pokémonturas, being able to request its services with the flute does not mean that the Pokémon belongs to us or unlocks its entry in the Pokédex.
So how do you get Sneasler? That is why we are here today.
The first step, not surprisingly, is to catch a Sneasel from Hisui. You can find it in Celestial Path (Crown Hillside), Immemorial Cavern (Crown Hillside), Avalugg Floe (Tundra Alba), and Glacier Terrace (Tunda Alba). Hisui’s Sneasel is a fighting/poison type and you’ll recognize it by its white and purple fur.
Once achieved, you must get the Sharp Claw item. The easiest way to get it is by exchanging it for gratitude points at Changa’s stall in Villa Jubileo. Gratitude Points are earned by collecting lost items from other players, so if you don’t have enough, go for a walk in any area and look for the lost item icons on the map.
Once this is done, you must use the Sharp Claw with Sneasel during the day so that it evolves into Sneasler. We insist that it should be during the day because at night you will not get results.
As an additional fact, in Hisui you can also find the “normal” Sneasel in the space-time distortions. For it to evolve into Weavile you must use the Sharp Claw item at night.
