The new DLC of Icarus, New Frontiers offers a new map named Prometheus in which players will get to complete 6 main story missions and several side missions for better lore of the story. Prometheus offers 3 different biomes from where players can gather various kinds of resources. With the new world map, there are several new resources and a new set of tools for the players. Like the previous sets of tools in Icarus, there are 6 tools in the set used for their respective purpose. One of the most useful tools is the Pickaxe as it allows players to gather exquisite ores from the mines and stones. The new pickaxe from the new tool set is called the Miasmic Pickaxe which offers various bonuses on gathering ores and stones.

How to Get Icarus Miasmic Pickaxe in Icarus: New Frontiers

The Miasmic Pickaxe is from the new toolset named Miasmic Tools and it is a Tier 4 Tool Set in Tech Tree. Players will have to reach Tier 4 in Tech Tree to unlock the Blueprints for the Miasmic Toolset. If you have been playing the game from previous DLCs, then you might have already unlocked the toolset and you will be able to craft the Miasmic Pickaxe from it. However, if you are new to the game, you must first start at the previous maps of the game to level up your character to unlock high-tier blueprints in your Tech Tree.

Once you have gained access to Tier 4 in Tech Tree, you will be able to craft the Miasmic Pickaxe at the Foundry workstation. Make sure that you have placed the Foundry station at your new Outpost in Prometheus. After setting all things up, you will need the following resources to craft the Miasmic Pickaxe.

• 4x Carbon Fiber
• 8x Steel Screw
• 4x Epoxy
• 6x Titanium Ingot
• 6x Distilled Miasmic Coating

Distilled Miasmic Coating is the main resource for making the Miasmic Toolset in particular. Make sure that you have crafted a decent amount of Distilled Miasmic Coating before you get to craft a Miasmic Pickaxe or other tools from the Miasmic Toolset.

Once you have gathered all the required resources, interact with the Foundry and place all of the required resources inside the Foundry’s inventory. Select the Miasmic Pickaxe recipe from the recipes list to craft the Miasmic Pickaxe.

Miasmic Pickaxe Bonuses in Icarus: New Frontiers

The Miasmic Pickaxe is a toxin-coated Pickaxe that allows you to delicately extract Noxious Crust when mining. Noxious Crust is useful for getting Epoxy and with this tool, you will be getting a ton of Noxious Crust that you can turn into Epoxy. The Miasmic Pickaxe gives the following bonuses when mining.

• +75 Mining Radius
• 140% yield from mining
• -50%yield from mining
• +15% chance to cause Miasma on Hit with Attacks
• +100% Noxious Crust per Mined Resource

You will be getting the same number of Noxious Crust as the resource you mined from Rocks or Rock Deposits.
