Hiring Mercs in Jagged Alliance is crucial at every point of the game because they are the main squad that will get the job done. However, hiring mercenaries every now and then is very expensive due to their hiring fee, weekly fee, and additional service charges. To make a more efficient choice in hiring mercs, it is better to create a Custom Merc with custom stats. As stats play a major role on the field to manipulate certain interactions, Custom Merc can single-handedly take matters into their own hands.

The option of Creating a Custom Merc can easily be neglected because the option is not well defined on the layout. The advantages of creating a Custom Merc will allow players to create any role of Merc or even an All-Rounder. Not only players will get to manage the stats but they will also get to pick the Perks for the Merc, allowing players to create a perfect Merc. To create a Custom Merc, follow the following steps.

• Open the A.I.M. Database page.
• Select the I.M.P. Web tab. It is right beside the A.I.M. Database.
• Select the Ent option to enter the authorization code and it will take you to Profiling Menu.
• Select the “I will skip this wonderful test and select manually” option to go to Creating of Merc menu.
• Pick a Name and a Nickname for Merc and use the Sliders of each Stat to allocate Attribute Points. There are a total of 550 Attribute Points and players can allocate them to all 10 stats.
• After allocating the stats, press the Next option to move to the Perks menu.
• Select the Perks you see fit for the Merc and select the “Done” option to complete the process of creating the custom merc.

Creating a Custom Merc does cost high but they don’t take daily or weekly fees nor do they need their contract renewed. It almost cost the same as the other higher ranks mercs but they can be more useful for you in the field.
