Hiring Mercs is one of the crucial mechanics of the game that players will have to do throughout the game. There are 36 Mercs in total which are divided into 4 different Ranks. The ranks give an overview of their level and how much they have potential. The highest rank of Mercs in Jagged Alliance 3 is Legendary and obviously they are the best of the best in the game but hiring them to your squad requires a bit different method.

How to Get Legendary Mercs in Jagged Alliance 3

Like the rest of the Mercs in the Game, the Legendary Mercs can be seen at the A.I.M. database from where players can hire them. However, unlike the other Mercs, they don’t have a hiring price in “$” but in “Gold” which can be a bit confusing at the start of the game. As players progress in the game, they will come to find out that there is an A.I.M. Gold Subscription which is used to hire the Legendary Mercs. Now, the A.I.M. Gold Subscription costs $20,000 in-game and it is a one-time subscription.

Upon getting the subscription, players will be able to hire the Mercs of the Legendary Rank but with a very high cost. Like any other Merc, Legendary Mercs also have a Weekly Fee and they cost around $18K – $36K which is a lot. Clearly, players cannot afford them in the early game and even in the mid-game because, players must have a substantial income to keep their contract aligned. Once players have acquired over $60K, they would be able to hire only 1 Legendary Merc.

However, all of the Legendary Mercs are of High-Level and have better stats than all of the other Mercs in the game. One of the best Mercs to get from Legendary Rank is Gus because he is the best Leader in the game and can make a lot of difference.
